How to Email the EPP Key for a Domain

Article Number: KB 976

Product: API

Audience:eNom Reseller

Problem

How do I get the EPP key for a domain via the API?

Solution

It is not possible to obtain an EPP key directly through the API, however you may use the API to email it directly to the registrant.

The SynchAuthInfo command sends the EPP directly to the registrant per ICANN policy (see ICANN Domain Transfer Policy).

Please see the API documentation for full instructions.

Command String Example:

http://resellertest.enom.com/interface.asp?
command=SynchAuthInfo&uid=yourloginid
&pw=yourpassword&sld=paramvalue&tld=paramvalue
&EmailEPP=True&RunSynchAutoInfo=True
&ResponseType=xml

Example Response:
