   Using Dreamweaver


  1. On the top bar of the Dreamweaver MX, click on Site and then click on New Site... to create a new connection.

  2. Enter the name you want to use to identify this connection. For this example, use eNom. Click the next button.



  3. In default, select No for the first time to test the connection. You could change the setting later on if you need to use server technology. Click the next button.



  4. Enter the local directory you want to store the files. You could leave it default and press next button.



  5. Old Web Hosting Accounts
    Please use the setting below:
    Remote server : FTP
    FTP Address : webX.ehost-services.com -> Please check the X value in your Web Hosting control panel.
    Host Directory : leave this empty.
    FTP Login : your Web Hosting login ID.



  6. New Web Hosting Accounts
    Please use the setting below:
    Remote server : FTP
    FTP Address : hostingaccountID.ehost-servicesXXX.com -> Please check the XXX value in your Web Hosting control panel.
    Host Directory : www
    FTP Login : your Web Hosting login ID.

    You can click the Test Connection button to check. If the connection failed, please make sure your hostname, login name and password are correct. Once you passed the test, click the next button.



  7. Select No for this setting and click next button.



  8. Once everything is done, you will go back to the main screen (displayed below). In the right navigation tools (under file tab), change the Local View to Remote View. Then click the connection button which looks like this:





  9. Now you can create, edit and publish your website directly from your local computer.
