What is Web Hosting?
Web Hosting provides the infrastructure to publish your web site. Our Web Hosting service includes space on a web server to store your web site, bandwidth to send it out to the world, configuration capability to associate your domain name with the web site content, and more.
What is shared web hosting?
For shared web hosting, the service provider uses a single web server to serve multiple Web Hosting accounts, instead of providing one web server per Web Hosting account. Shared web hosting is a cost-effective solution for personal and small business web sites.
Can I have more than one domain name pointed to my Web Hosting account?
You can have up to 50 domain names per Web Hosting account.
How soon will my Web Hosting account be ready for use?
If you associate an existing domain name with your Web Hosting account, your web site can go live immediately after your transaction has been processed. If you associate your Web Hosting account with a new domain, it may take up to 48 hours before the Registry updates its records to resolve the domain name to your web site.
Will I have unlimited access to update my web site?
Yes, you can update your web site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Will I have my own FTP access?
Yes. For Linux, you’ll log in with the username and password you selected when you added the domain to Plesk.
If I use your Web Hosting, do you place ads on my web site?

I already have a domain. Can I use it with your Web Hosting?
Yes, you can use an existing domain name with your Web Hosting account provided it is either in this account or at another registrar. If your domain is in another account with us, you must subscribe to Web Hosting in that account.
Can I have individual FTP logins for each domain?
For Linux hosting, you can have a separate FTP login for each domain name associated with the hosting account.
What type of control panel does Web Hosting use?
Our Linux hosting uses Parallels Plesk control panel.
Do I get my own dedicated IP?
Dedicated IPs are issued only to those hosting accounts using SSL certificates.
What billing cycle options do you offer?
We offer one-, three-, six-, and twelve-month billing cycles. You can change to a longer billing period at any time; you can change to a shorter billing period in the last 30 days of your current billing period.
Is there a minimum contract for Web Hosting?
You may cancel your Web Hosting account at any time. However, keep in mind that your account is billed at the beginning of each cycle.
What are your Web Hosting content policies?

Do you support Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions?
Do you support ASP (active server pages)?
Yes, we support ASP and ASP.NET 1.1, 2.0, and 3.5. However there are some restrictions on some server objects, and we don't provide technical support for ASP coding questions.
Do you support ColdFusion?
Do you support databases?
Yes, our different hosting packages offer a variety of databases either as part of the base package or as upgrades.

Do you support Java applets, Shockwave and Flash?
Yes, but make sure that your Web Hosting account has sufficient bandwidth to support your needs.
Do you support PHP?
Yes, we support version 5 in Linux Web Hosting.
Do you support SSL certificates?
Yes, if you purchase an SSL certificate from us, you can apply it to a web site in your Web Hosting account.
Do you support XML (Extensible Markup Language)?
Can I use custom Perl or CGI (Common Gateway Interface) scripts?
Yes, we support CGI scripts (.pl, .pm, .cgi).
Do you support Server Side Includes (SSI)?
Yes, our Web Hosting solution has limited support for SSI. Here are some things you should know about the use of SSI with our Web Hosting:
- Any pages using SSI should end in .asp. The .shtml extension is not supported.
- Always use the full path to the file, including your account name. Parent paths are not supported.
- When inserting a file, always use the virtual= tag instead of the file= method.

Incorrect: <!--#include file="/subdir/file.htm"-->
- Do not leave any spaces between the equal ("=") sign and the file it specifies.
- Any included file is subject to the usual access authorization controls. Make sure that the file being referenced is not protected and inaccessible to the user.
- Currently the only command supported is the #include method. Other commands such as exec or echo are not supported.
Are parent paths enabled for my web site?
No, use virtual includes instead <!--#include virtual="/user/FolderName/FileName.asp" -->
How do I associate a domain name with my Web Hosting account?
To associate a domain with Web Hosting, log in and click "My Account". Click "Registered Domains". Click the domain name you want to associate with a Web Hosting package.
In the "DNS Server Settings" section, make sure the setting is "Currently set to Our Servers". If not, click "DNS Server Settings". Select "Our Servers" and click "save". Click "OK".
Open the "Manage Domains" menu and select "Web Site Settings". In the "Try our web hosting" section click "set up now". Open the "Select a hosting account" menu and select a Web Hosting account. Click "save" and then click "OK".
How do I upload my site?
What is the directory (folder) named "_private" and others beginning with an underscore?
These are needed for FrontPage extensions. Renaming or deleting any of the files starting with an underscore can result in FrontPage working improperly or not at all.
How do I configure my Email program?
Once you have associated a domain name and created an email account using that domain, you need to configure the host records and configure your email program. Log into your Web Hosting account and go to http://webhosting.ehost-services.com/HP2/help/ for instructions.

Can I upgrade my Web Hosting account?
Yes. Log in and click "My Account". In the "Manage Services" section, click "Web Hosting". Click the name of the account you want to upgrade. In the "Upgrade Your Web Hosting" section, make any desired changes and click "Save Settings".
What happens when my Web Hosting account goes over its data transfer bandwidth limit?
Our Web Hosting accounts offer specific amounts of bandwidth, that is, delivery of your web site content to visitors. Your bandwidth overage options go into effect once your site goes over the amount of your original service plan.
To change your bandwidth overage options, log in. Log in and click "My Account". In the "Manage Services" section, click "Web Hosting". Click the Web Hosting package for which you want to change the overage option. In the "Account Details" section click "Set overage protection". In the "General Settings" section select a "Bandwidth Overage" option and click "Save Settings".
How do I upgrade my database?
To upgrade database capacity in an existing Web Hosting account, log in and click "My Account". In the "Manage Services" section, click "Web Hosting". Click the name of the account you want to upgrade. In the "Upgrade Your Web Hosting" section, make any desired changes to your database and click "Save Settings".
Can I change my Web Hosting account name?
You cannot change your Web Hosting account name.
I forgot my Web Hosting account name. What should I do?
Log in and click "My Account". In the "Manage Services" section, click "Web Hosting". A list of your Web Hosting accounts appears.
Can I change my Web Hosting account password?
Yes. Log in and click "My Account". In the "Manage Services" section, click "Web Hosting". Under the name of the account for which you want to change the password, click "control panel". Click "Help" and then click "password". Enter your old and new password and click "Submit".
I forgot my Web Hosting account password. What should I do?
Log in and click "My Account". In the "Manage Services" section, find the Web Hosting section and click "Manage". Click the name of the account for which you need the password. In the "Currently Viewing" menu select "General Settings". Enter a new password, enter it again to confirm, and click "Save Settings".
