   Using FTP

Publishing your site to our servers using FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is easy! You will first need to create your HTML and/or ASP pages and all other support files (graphics...) using an HTML editor such as FrontPage, Homesite, Notepad or InterDev.

If you would like help uploading your files using FrontPage, click here for more info.

When you are ready to transfer your files to our servers, Open your FTP application.

If you are using a web browser application such as Internet Explorer, launch it and type your FTP Server Address in the address bar and hit "Enter". When asked for a User Name & Password, enter your Account Name and Password.

(See Web Hosting Control Panel for your FTP Server information)

Open a folder on your computer with the files you want to transfer. Select all the files you want to transfer to the server and drag them into the open FTP window. NOTE: If the local directory contains any FrontPage Extensions directories (i.e. anything starting with "_vti") do not transfer them to the server, or you may be unable to use FrontPage Extensions later.

(See Web Hosting Control Panel for your FTP Server information)

If you are using an FTP Application such as CuteFTP, Bullet Proof FTP or Anarchie, launch it and type your FTP Server Address in the server/URL field. Type your User Name & Password in their respective fields, and select "Personal Login" as log-in type if not already selected. Leave the port field value to "21".
